The Sizzlers massacre took place in Sea Point, Cape Town on 20 January 2003, when Adam Woest and Trevor Basil Theys murdered nine people and injured one person in a hate crime against the queer community.
Adam Woest’s profile is now being considered for parole after serving an 18 year sentence. Families fight back against the possibility of parole claiming that no one that has committed a crime as brutal and gruesome as this massacre can ever be rehabilitated. Sister of victim starts a public petition [change.org/sizzlers-massacre] against the parole of Adam Woest claiming South Africans need to be aware of a mass murder will soon be roaming the community he preyed upon.
